There is a variety in the range of work assigned to the interns ,which holds quality and makes us study the field of law in depth. The interns had to give a report at the end of the day/ after the completion of the task. Rohith sir (My Team mentor) was always there to guide and assist throughout the completion of the task, he would also put-in suggestions and help us tackle the field of law (as many of them eg-copyright was new to me). The work assigned is very sorted , the way the interns are guided and assisted throughout is commendable. The process of working has helped us build a good team spirit and also opened doors to meeting and interacting with new people. I have always had positive vibes from day 1 with the team and everything about the internship, thus I would say - nothing bad about the experience. I am very sure that the experience I got from CEERA would definitely add value and enhance my practical skills in law.

I would like to thank CEERA for giving me an opportunity to work under your guidance and support. The past four weeks were one of the best internship experiences I ever had over the years. The best part about the internship was not only that I got excellent and qualitative work but also that the timings were completely flexible unlike in other internships. Also, I loved the fact that Mr Rohith was always available to guide and interact with throughout even at odd hours. It was a pleasure working with you and I hope we will keep in touch.

I would like to thank Prof. (Dr.) Sairam Bhat and the team of CEERA, NLSIU for providing me with the internship opportunity in their esteemed organisation. While working with CEERA, I researched on various contemporary and legal aspects attached to environmental laws. The internship tasks acquainted me with various environmental arenas and issues which are seldom worked upon as law students. During my internship, I was also provided with an opportunity to attend an insightful webinar on migrant exodus organised by the team. I would like to thank my mentor Mr. Raghav Parthasarathy for his constant support and guidance throughout my internship and accentuating my research and drafting skills.

I interned with CEERA in December 2020. It was an online internship and was fraught with challenges that online internships tend to pose. Yet, it was an incredibly enriching experience to be able to research and learn about tasks assigned to me. Through the course of entire month, various research, rapporteuring and proofreading tasks were assigned to me. I was able to embed myself in the area of environmental law and came to know about aspects of it that I was previously unaware of. The internship was rigorous and stimulating. The mentors assigned by CEERA were great and were ready to help whenever I encountered any difficulty in understanding the task assigned to me. I will always be thankful to CEERA for this wonderful learning experience.

I had interned at CEERA-NLSIU in the month of July, 2020 and had a great learning experience. During my period I had witnessed a two-day webinar organised by CEERA on the topic of Migrant Workers and Urban Governance. It had also addressed the current issue of pandemic and its aftereffects on the migrant workers in our country. I was also given the opportunity of working on numerous other research projects, write-ups and articles. Since my internship had coincided with the webinar, me and my co-interns were asked to coordinate and submit a brief report on various sessions that took place during the webinar. I was also given an opportunity on publishing my blog at the NLSIU domain website. Interning at CEERA was a wonderful exposure and I hope to get another opportunity to entrust my work towards the organisation. I also believe that this will stand as an important milestone in my career building and in my upcoming future endeavours.

My internship at CEERA, in May 2020 was an enlightening and enriching experience. The team takes an effort to make the student feel included and ensured that every intern had something to take away from the internship. My mentor, Ms. Madhubanti Sadhya, taught me how to streamline my research and focus on issues central to the topic at hand. Through this internship I delved into topics and legal issues that are only cursorily mentioned in law schools. I strongly recommend students who wish to hone their researching skills to pursue an internship at CEERA.

CEERA internship was one of the best internship experiences I have had so far. I was given an opportunity to research on those topics which are not much researched upon. This helped me improve upon my analytical skills. The best thing is that the contribution of the interns is acknowledged. Though I have interned online, this fact did not limit effective communication with my internship guide, Madhubanti ma’am who was very welcoming and always ready to help me if I faced any difficulty in completing the assignments that were allotted to me.

I would like to extend my gratitude to Madhubanti ma'am for being such a patient and wonderful mentor who guided me at every step of the way, to Rohith Sir and the whole organization for giving me this opportunity to work under their guidance. I had the privilege of working at CEERA, researching on the area of law, I am passionate about.  International Environmental Law, Chemical and Waste Management, Water pollution, Ecotourism were some of the topics I researched on. The brief outline given to us, before the research, helped me in channelizing my research which has  positively impacted my research and writing skills. During the internship, I read extensively, which has left an everlasting impact, as I have started to assess environmental implications of my decisions. And I believe that this will help me in taking informed decisions in the future. Indeed I will cherish the experience as it has given me confidence in my work.

Interning at CEERA was honestly one of the most enriching experiences I've had so far in my law school life. Considering that it was my first internship, the level of exposure and experience that I gained in a month was remarkable. The work allotted allowed me to explore an area of law that is seldom gone into much practical depth in the course of our studies, with work ranging from preparing research notes for an MoEF project to attending a meeting regarding the drafting of a state water bill. The people at the center were all extremely approachable and knowledgeable, giving me another avenue to broaden my horizons. This combination of the work given, and the team working at the center, ensured that my days spent at CEERA were immensely important in my growth as a law student.

The Centre for Environmental Education, Research and Advocacy under the stewardship of Prof. (Dr.) Sairam Bhat has been doing outstanding work in building and nurturing an environmental law community. The seminars, workshops and conferences organized by CEERA and their well-researched publications are intellectually stimulating and insightful. They also foster critical thinking on environmental issues and policies, which incidentally is the need of the hour. CEERA has provided a platform for stakeholders, governmental and non-governmental, to further the cause of environmental protection. Suffice it to say that it is an enriching experience to be a part of CEERA activities. Wishing CEERA all the best in its future activities!

CEERA, at National Law School, has been doing pioneering work in the field of Environmental Law Education & Research for many years. The center has grown from strength to strength under the able guidance of Dr. M.K. Ramesh and Dr. Sairam Bhat, and has conducted some of the finest and most well researched residential training programs for officers from the All India Services, Central & State Pollution Control Boards, Forest Services, and from many other such streams. Besides, the team at CEERA has produced some of the most scholarly works (books and journals) on Environmental Jurisprudence and a whole range of subjects.  These, I’m sure, would be of immense help to students and teachers alike of Environmental Legal Studies in India and abroad. This is my fourth year of association with CEERA as a guest faculty for their various programs. Apart from being thoroughly rich and immersive, their training programs are very well organized and coordinated at the sprawling NLSIU campus in Bengaluru. I’m sure CEERA, as a center par excellence, will continue to shape the inquisitive legal minds for years to come.

‘I wholeheartedly congratulate NLSIU Bengaluru for having organised a two-day National Seminar on ‘Strengthening Legal Provisions for the Enforcement of Contracts: Reassessing the Quality and Efficiency of Dispute Resolution of Commercial Matters in India’ in association with the Department of Justice, Ministry of Law & Justice, Government of India, on 21-22 August 2019. As a Resource Person, I must say that the seminar was extremely informative, thought-provoking and useful. I am sure the participants would have acquired a wealth of knowledge on different aspects of contract enforcement — an important parameter determining the ease of doing business in a country. The themes of the Seminar were of contemporary significance. Academic discussion and scholastic deliberation on these themes at Law Universities will pave the way for more changes required to be made in the future to improve the contract enforcement environment in India. I had the distinct opportunity to work at CEERA last year. I was part of the CEERA team, when the National Law School was hosting sessions for UNDP training, as well as a few certificate courses.  Over the period of time, I learnt alot about how to manage events at such a large scale, and also about team work and coordination. Apart from that, after attending sessions from Dr Sairam Bhat and Professor Ramesh, I had a completely different approach to even commonly studied subjects such as contracts and Environmental Law. They are one of the most intellectual people I've come across.  I learnt alot from the both of them, as well as other members of the esteemed team.  I wish the team all the best for their future endeavors, and wish to be a part of the NLS family once again someday.

Although I have been associated with CEERA only since 2018, it has indeed been a great journey so far with a wonderful team that has a refreshing and innovative approach to legal education and research. Certificate Courses on 'Privacy and Data Protection Laws' and 'Public Procurement, Tendering and Law relating to Government Contracts' has helped to get me an up-to-date knowledge on the specific areas and has helped me improve my working style and address practical issues more efficiently. The Centre identifies emerging legal challenges with a lot of dedication and comes up with the most accurate solutions to handle them. The effort taken by the Centre to share knowledge from the academic field in ways that is most relevant for the participant of the different courses, trainings and workshops must be appreciated. I wish the Centre all the very best for their future endeavours.

I was privileged to give a short presentation at the NLSIU- CEERA seminar on strengthening legal provisions for the enforcement of contracts (held from Aug 21-22, 2019). NLSIU is synonymous with exceptional legal pedagogy and research and the seminar reflected the high standards that NLSIU has set for students and professionals alike. I would specially like to mention the outstanding plenary sessions held on both days of the conference where legal stalwarts spoke at length on key aspects of contract enforcement and related mechanisms. I am sure each attendee, whether a student or a young professional like me, returned with a deeper knowledge of the Law than what we had come with. I sincerely thank the NLSIU team for giving me this opportunity and I look forward to more such engaging events.

Being associated with CEERA has changed my perspectives and experiences as an academician and a research scholar. It has been a life changing and enriching journey under the able leadership of Prof. Dr. M K Ramesh and Prof. Dr. Sairam Bhat, who are undoubtedly the most inspirational teachers. The center gave me a platform to gain a deeper insight into the diverse perspectives of legal professionals who are still actively engaged in their specific fields, like Dr. Justice N Kumar, leading discussions concerning Karnataka State Biodiversity law, and human rights and Mr. Shyam Divan, a senior Supreme Court advocate who is a renowned scholar in commercial and environmental law. My association with the center helped me to pursue research in the area of climate change and publish article on Climate Litigation and Human Rights in Asia Pacific region (published in LAWASIA website). My association with the center continues to enhance my work and career in invaluable ways.

My internship at the Centre for Environmental Law Education and Research (CEERA) was an enriching learning experience. The tasks allotted were intriguing and non-repetitive, including research on ongoing government projects, thus giving me an insight into the practical implications of environmental law and policy. While it was a remote internship, I was constantly in touch with my mentor who comprehensively guided me through the projects. I was able to hone my research and writing skills while also expanding my knowledge on several aspects of environmental law.
